Transportation Assistant Secretary for Railways Jorjette B. Aquino led the ceremonial turnover of MRT-3's leadership to the newly-appointed General Manager, Engr. Oscar B. Bongon, at the depot on September 23.

Asec. Aquino assumed the role of MRT-3's officer-in-charge in March last year in her concurrent capacity as an assistant secretary of DOTr. On September 10, Engr. Bongon was sworn in as MRT-3's new General Manager, following his extensive tenure at the rail line.

"I am confident in entrusting the leadership of MRT-3 to the capable hands of Engr. Bongon, who is a certified railman. And to all of you, thank you for your service during my time with the MRT-3. It has been an honor working alongside all of you, and I look forward to continuing our efforts to provide the Filipino riding public with safe, efficient, and reliable rail transport," said Asec. Aquino.
