President Bongbong Marcos Libreng Sakay program for all commuters has received a positive response, with the MRT-3 recording its highest ridership since the pandemic yesterday, April 30. A total of 481,156 passengers took advantage of the free rides on the first day.

This significant number not only exceeds the previous post-pandemic high of 459,936 passengers (December 20, 2024) but also marks a 14.87% increase compared to the 418,854 commuters served on April 30, 2024.

The remarkable increase in ridership clearly demonstrates the strong appreciation and positive impact of the President's Labor Day initiative, providing much-needed relief not just for the Filipino workers but for all the commuters. It also reflects the MRT-3's improved ability to handle the increased passenger volume.

The Libreng Sakay program, offered in celebration of Labor Day, will continue to benefit commuters for three more days, until May 3.

Better Transportation for the Greater Tomorrow

For years now, rapid growth of commuters and vehicles population have plagued Metro Manila, the center of Philippine socio-economic and political activity.
