The DOTr-MRT3 invites qualified applicants for Accountant III/Salary Grade 19/Contractual in the Finance and Comptrollership Division.

Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Business Administration Major in Accounting

Experience : Two (2) years of relevant experience

Training : Eight (8) hours of relevant training

Eligibility : RA 1080

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains General Ledger and Subsidiary Ledgers for all real accounts and prepares & submits Quarterly Statements.
  2. Prepares monthly Financial Statements with supporting schedules and assists/collaborate with the Chief Finance and Comptrollership Division on response with COA findings-AOM regarding validity of audit, if there’s any.
  3. Reviews/reconciles abnormal balances in the Financial Statements.
  4. Monitoring, recording and maintaining up-to-date records of Fixed Assets and reconciles with the Admin-General Services Section Physical count and Accounting book record.
  5. Prepares Journal Entry Vouchers and analysis of transaction on the adjustments to be made.
  6. Prepares monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements.
  7. Reviews/checks fare revenue, fund withdrawals in the Escrow Account reports and prepares Journal Entry Vouchers for recording in the book of accounts.
  8. Provide technical assistance on a daily basis to the Treasury Section in the Settlement and Reconciliation level of the new Automatic Fare Collection System (AFCS)
  9. Prepares draft correspondences.
  10. Performs other official tasks as assigned by the Chief of the Finance and Comptrollership Division.

  2. Personal Data Sheet (PDS) with recent passport-sized photo (CS Form No. 212, Revised 2017) and Work Experience Sheet. You may download these forms at www.csc.gov.ph (Downloads – Forms – OHRMD – PDS)
  3. Photocopy of Authenticated CSC Eligibility/BAR or Board Rating/License; if applicable
  4. Photocopy of Authenticated Transcript of Records and Diploma;
  5. Photocopy of Certificates of Relevant Trainings/Seminars attended;
  6. Photocopy of Service Records/Certificate of Employment;
  7. Photocopy of Performance rating in the last rating period (if applicable); and
  8. Other documents that may be required by this Office. Applications with incomplete documents and submitted beyond the set deadline shall automatically disqualify the applicant in the selection process. Applications will be considered valid for a period of 1 year. Only applicants who are shortlisted will be contacted. Shortlisted applicants will be required to show original copies of their documents for verification. All information submitted by applicants shall be subject to verification and/or background check.
