The DOTr-MRT3 invites qualified applicants for the vacant Senior Transportation Development Officer position/ Contractual/Salary Grade 18 under the Transport Division:

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job

Experience : Two (2) years of relevant experience

Training : Eight (8) hours of relevant training

Eligibility : None required for contractual position

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Use the duty roster of train drivers to guarantee replacement and availability for every revenue train at all times.
  2. Enforcer of the timetable, ensuring all train departures and arrivals at every station.
  3. Enforce all train drivers to perform train preparation at the Depot.
  4. Recorder of departure, arrival, and removal of all trains at Depot.
  5. Inspector of physical grooming, mental stability, and driving habits of train drivers.
  6. Inspector of attendance and tardiness of train drivers.
  7. The supervisor and recorder of the implemented intervention procedure completed by the train driver during train breakdown, degraded mode, and service interruption.
  8. Assistant to the train driver during a train breakdown.
  9. Evaluator of the train driver’s performance, particularly the adherence to company policy, rules and regulations, and procedures.
  10. Formation of recommendation/s for the improvement, retraining, and/or disciplinary action to train drivers imposed if any.
  11. Delegates reserve train drivers as replacements and assistants during the turn-back at the terminal station.
  12. Assistant to the Supervising Transportation Development Officer in regard to other duties that may be assigned.

  3. Photocopy of CSC Eligibility/BAR or Board Rating/License, if applicable
  4. Photocopy of Authenticated Transcript of Records and Diploma
  5. Photocopy of Certificates of Relevant Trainings/Seminars attended
  6. Photocopy of Service Records/Certificate of Employment
  7. Photocopy of Performance rating in the last rating period, if applicable
  8. Other documents that may be required by this Office.

Applications with incomplete documents and submitted beyond the set deadline shall automatically disqualify the applicant in the selection process. Applications will be considered valid for a period of 1 year. Only applicants who are shortlisted will be contacted.
