DOTr MRT-3 to provide free ride due to inclement weather from Typhoon Uwan

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) will be offering free rides to commuters amid the expected effects of Typhoon Uwan starting on Monday, November 10 until Tuesday, November 11.

This is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to DOTr to provide all-day free transportation services to commuters affected by the typhoon.

Operations of DOTr MRT-3 remains normal with North Avenue station entrance opening by 4:20 a.m., while Taft Avenue station will be at 4:55 a.m.

Meanwhile, station entrances in North Avenue station will be closed at 10:25 p.m. while Taft Avenue station will be at 11:04 p.m.

Fares will also be free for commuters who will ride at Light Rail Transit lines 1 and 2 on November 10 and 11.
